The Prada is just a little boring looking - as if any dupe of it would look the same and not that exciting. The Jackie has that buckle detail that gives it a little more ooomph! I can imagine though that the Prada would be slightly more comfortable to wear as it is cut a little lower than the Jackie.
I adore the Jackie. My mother was lusting after it for a number of months as she marked a big birthday but the lack of zip put her off. She went for the horsebit which she adores in a beautiful pink / cream colourway. We also are both obsessed with the Gucci Diana. I love the brown, she loves the navy and I adore the green bamboo top handle bag. It is just so cute.
Ooh I love the horsebit too! The smaller version I came in looking for didn't work on me, but the I still love the classic size and the hardware is beautiful
Ugh the Jackie bag. My tormentor! I’m turning 30 this year (in July!) and want to ball out on a designer bag, and after seeing the Dakota Johnson ad I was fully convinced Jackie was it! In person I actually liked it less! I didn’t like that it doesn’t have a zip closure and that it didn’t fit that well under my shoulder.. felt a little restricting? Love that it can convert to a crossbody tho, that’s a major plus for me. I think I’m going to get the Celine Ava, which I loved in person. Jackie is gorgeous tho and you should get her!!
Agreed re: the closure on the Jackie—it's just a bit less secure. But love Celine and so glad you found the Ava! I feel like it's all about how it looks on your shoulder/when you go in person. That one is such a classic shape and such a good gift to yourself!!

Agreed on the details! The hardware on the Jackie also looks higher quality IMO
