Shitters! Later letter today, but my AM was spent zipping between calls to an appointment with my acupuncturist, who immediately clocked these Ruti pants and asked for a review (cannot say enough good things—PRIYANKA15 for a comfy, flattering, wrinkle-free fit).

September is here, and suddenly so many things that felt hopelessly stalled are full speed ahead?? Maybe it’s because I’ve been walking around NYU the past few days (or perhaps it’s thanks to some planetary movement, per my questionable personal astrologist, Ch*tGPT…), but the back-to-school momentum feels very real around here. Here’s hoping some of that energy has found its way to you!

1. Domino Park in August, I was unfamiliar with your game 2. Commerce Inn brunch 3. Silk + vintage croc 4. A quiet AM on the WSH 5. A not-so-quiet PM with Club Crumbs! 6. Rehoboth delicacies (zero Hunter sightings, but there's a 50% chance I saw killer dog Commander Biden, which has to count for something)

Candidly, August felt like the cherry on top of a challenging summer (and an even more challenging year). But that doesn’t mean that it was without some really good moments: Saying yes to things normally out of my comfort zone (and actually really enjoying them!), becoming a regular at my new favorite brunch spot (trés chic to be a regular anywhere!), spending as much time as possible by water (and more time than I ever had perusing in wine aisles), securing my EOY spot in the top 1% of 90’s europop streamers, getting QT with friends new and old, and a few last-minute developments made it feel like my luck might be coming back around…! Stay tuned!

Some things I loved in August: Running. It’s been a LONG time since I was a regular runner, but this summer was a slow and steady rekindling, and it feels so good to be back. I’ve run on some version of this shoe since college—they’re a 15/10 on cushion and comfort, and are great for anyone who’s on their feet all day (my sister is a fourth year med student and she can vouch!). I dubbed this my emotional support sweatshirt (the cobalt in particular), and I changed from outside clothes into these pointelle pants almost every single night (I sized up). I put this on my face anytime I needed to look a little more alive (now available at Sephora!). MY MATCHA! I feel very passionately about my recipe—I’ll share in an upcoming letter. And I read a lot last month, but none of the fiction I picked really did it for me. Do you have any recs?! Always in the market for something that’s hard to put down!

I for one am not ready to say goodbye (or to ask my super for the extra space heater that I just gave back three months ago…).

I’ll have a fall sweater edit/letter on my shopping strategy coming next week, but below the fold are some early purchases I couldn’t resist, denim that won’t just take up space in your closet, early-in-the-game date attire, and the sports bra taking over my group chats. Plus, a few things that made me laugh!
