The Shit I Bought and Liked 2025 Holiday Gift Guide
From the hard-to-impress to the wellness-obsessed, we've got ideas for everyone on your list
Shitters! If you’re in need of some gift inspiration (or just want to do some browsing while the whole internet is on sale—most things in this newsletter are too), you’re in luck! What follows are a few ideas big and small for your family, friends, partner, and more. Hopefully some will catch your eye and make you think of someone you love! (P.S. If you want more on the sale front, I’m keeping this letter up to date with my best finds!)
Well + Good
Starting strong with OSEA’s Undaria Body Bestsellers (PRIYANKA10)! Wellness-obsessed or not, this duo makes a fabulous gift! It combines the brand’s cult-favorite body oil and lotion in a luxurious gift set without an excessive price tag (just $60 with our code!). The line uses clean, ocean-derived ingredients without giving up luxury or performance. The glass bottles look perfect in a bathroom, and make for a worthy gift for the wellness lover in your life.
If their body is their temple, help them recover the right way—the Eight Sleep Pod and the Higher Dose sauna blanket are the devices of the season for a reason! (Throw in a pack of towel inserts with the blanket so they can use in the buff.) If they’re less into devices, help them re-center offline with this chic meditation cushion, and this body stone + magnesium-enhanced bath salts (perfect for a post-workout soak). Speaking of post-workout, these micellar pads are the perfect stocking stuffer for the person who’s always running to/from a workout. And don’t forget organic electrolytes either!
Other things the wellness girls are obsessing over lately: This Rest + Digest tea by LA-based acupuncturist Dr. Stolberg, switching to chic cotton activewear (synthetics…? As if!!!), and Vyrao’s non-toxic fragrances (they’re formulated with neuroscience AND crystals, which feels like the ideal combo).
Hard To Impress
Shopping for someone who has exquisite taste can be a daunting task, but I have ideas! Of course there are the showstoppers—Arielle Ratner’s Flora Studs, Madame Grey’s Zodiac candle collection, and anything in an orange box. But if you can’t go fully over-the-top, rest assured there are other ways to delight.
Whether or not you know art, the cool girls do, and coffee table Cy Twombly will always impress. Upgrade their fancy olive oil to a magnum. And this hand-calligraphed tea canister is so special (s/o
Philip for this discovery!). It’s under $100, and feels like a perfect gift for an intimidatingly chic MIL.Fragrance is hard to gift, but Maison D’Etto’s are exquisite—get the sampler set then treat her to her favorite (mine is Noisette!). And when hard-to-impress and slightly impatient go hand in hand, go with Celisse’s nail polish—it literally dries in 90 seconds.
When she really wants a tan, but your budget is limited to a box, Fara Homidi has the answer. Trudon’s gorgeous room spray is another great option—the scent is straight out of the Mediterranean and the bottle is a work of art! And if she prefers altitude to the beach, treat her toes to these shearling slippers (a longtime SIBAL favorite for a reason!).
Big Night In
Who said being a homebody couldn’t be chic?! Turn their (or your own!) nights in into something special with these ideas! Body care is always worth upgrading, especially this time of year. This duo from OSEA pairs their Undaria body oil with their ultra rich body butter (PRIYANKA10). It’s such a treat to use! Pair it with this wood sculpting tool for a little at-home lymphatic drainage.
When it comes to the bath itself, start with Lilis’s Body Resurfacing Set (PRIYANKA20). It sloughs off your dead skin without being harsh or abrasive, and all the in-the-know beauty girls are obsessed. For my cat people, their founder Helen says the “Slow Blink” scent name was inspired by the way cats smile at their humans 😭
Other gift-worthy treats: Habelo’s Power Pair revives tired/aging hands (PRIYANKA15), this gorgeous bath oil turns your tub into a Swiss spa, Chanel’s Eye Patches come in the most insane packaging, and everyone’s coveting Crown Affair (PRIYANKA15)! (Oh, and if she doesn’t have a red light mask already, it’s time!)
I’m dying for this supersoft throw blanket for TV time, is this Rummikub set not the most stunning thing you’ve ever seen (?!), and if Santa can’t give me this model’s body, I’ll settle for her little burgundy set (top/pants here)! That whipped fabric really is as good as everyone says!
For The Boys
Starting strong with the puppy! Get him the dog he never/you’ve always wanted—what could go wrong?!?! Slightly more practical: Cashmere-lined leather gloves, closet upgrades (close your eyes in a Todd Snyder and pick literally anything), a skincare overhaul via Sofie Pavitt, or a case for the only thing he loves more than you (his iPad).
I’ve been watching too much Yellowstone, so this year all the SIBAL HABs (is that a term?) will be cosplaying cowboys… I would apologize, but tbh you’re welcome. This hat pairs nicely with a weekend getaway to the new One&Only in Big Sky. He deserves it (and so do you!!). This ostrich wallet is a little more subtle (and the most gorgeous dark cherry shade IRL). And I know everyone says whiskey glasses are boring, but these leather rocks ones are honestly gorgeous? These are for the baby boys (and girls!), but these tiny cowboy boots/booties are precious (PRIYANKA10). And last thing on the cowboy theme—this Nashville-based fragrance brand makes the BEST candles. This one combines amber, juniper, and whiskey and is my favorite scent of the season (treat him to the XL version).
Whether his athleticism starts and ends on a golf course or takes him on a full 26.2, you’ve got it covered. I asked an actual boy for thoughts (that’s called journalism!)—he says they prefer to be called men, but suggested this brand for ski gear. He’s in Park City at any given time, so I’d take his word for it.
And you know what they say about boys and their toys! This smart telescope and carbon steel wok are in the running for his next favorite ones. Or get him a matcha set to encourage new hobbies (read: turn him into your personal barista).
