Shitters! This morning I saw a really great* beauty sale courtesy of Violet Grey (that I shopped first thing after waking up because I am a healthy, well-adjusted person with a normal morning routine…). It’s rare that a sale really impresses me, but they’ve marked down a LOT of good stuff by a LOT more than usual, so I wanted to make sure none of you missed out on the deals!
(*What do I mean by great, you ask? 20% or over. Ideally 25! If it’s a small biz, 10 or 15 is AMAZING and so appreciated, but for the whales out there… not enough!!! Discounts like this can be hard to come by outside of Black Friday season, but to me it’s how you know a sale is really worth it.)
I’ve written about most of these products in the past—they are my tried and true rebuys from brands I trust, and hopefully if you use or have been eyeing any, you can score them at some of the best prices of the year!
Sofie Pavitt Face (25% off): Sofie is brilliant and kind and no-bullshit—an aesthetician and acne expert who I recommend to every one of my friends (and anyone else who asks in DMs—she truly is the best). She never upsells you on shit you don’t need, and, true to form, her product line is incredibly effective and already very fairly-priced (but who’s saying no to a discount???). Her Mandelic serum is the hero of the line—I can’t think of a single routine that wouldn’t benefit from the gentle exfoliation (plus she’s gotten some magic results on her acne clients), and I keep her ultra gentle cleanser stocked in my shower for after workouts or sweaty summer days.
111skin (25% off): These are pricey but they are the holy fucking grail of eye masks. I use them before every wedding or big event, and if you have dark circles, they basically function like an eraser. This time around I also went for the full face masks—this formula in particular makes my skin glow like no other.
Westman Atelier (20% off): Gucci Westman is truly my queen, but even if she wasn’t, I’d still love her stuff. She makes the best makeup for simple, natural, beautiful-looking skin, and her products are what I have on day to day whether I’m running errands, on a podcast, out to dinner, etc. I pair the foundation stick with the complexion drops for my perfect combo of coverage with some glow, though if I’m really going minimal, it’s stick only for me. This tinted highlight is my newest addition—I don’t reach for it everyday, but it’s the perfect finishing touch for the times you want to up the ante a bit. I wear Peau de Soleil on my cheeks, the tip of my nose, and right above my cupid’s bow, and IMO it’s like a mix between highlighter, blush, and bronzer.
Crown Affair (25% off): Ok, I don’t want to scoop myself because I’m planning on doing a more in-depth newsletter on Crown Affair’s products, but two long-term favorites of mine have been their Leave In Conditioner (I use this every time I wash my hair and whenever my ends are feeling dry), and their innovative, non-aerosol Dry Shampoo (this goes out of stock whenever Sephora runs sales, but this deal is even better, so I would run!). This is a newer-to-me purchase, but they also make the world’s best hair clips. They’ll set you back a little, but they have an internal clip mechanism that lets them hold more hair more securely, and they truly NEVER slip. I kept one on during a higher-impact workout recently and didn’t even realize until afterwards that I hadn’t switched to a hair tie—everything stayed in place so securely the whole time! If you’re considering, this is the best deal I’ve ever seen on this brand.
Augustinus Bader (25% off): I’m a little bit of a Bader hater, but if you aren’t, I’m not gonna let you miss your chance to get the Rich Cream at 25% off! IMO though, the one that’s really worth it is their Ultimate Soothing Cream. I treat myself to one bottle (now refills) in the winter, and my skin craves nothing more.
UBeauty (20% off): I’ve done A LOT of talking about UBeauty lately, so you likely already know I love their Super Hydrator and Resurfacing Compound, but if you need a refresher on why, here’s the original newsletter I wrote about them back in the day. I will say, it’s a big price up front, but the full-sized versions of these products last me around six months, and they knock out the need for several other standalone serums like Vitamin C, retinol (not a prescription version, but definitely if you use a serum), hyaluronic, etc.
Some very well-loved favorites pictured above! Hope you all score some things you’ve been wanting and save yourself some $$$ in the process! Happy beauty-buying!!!
