Shitters! Today’s letter is coming to you live from gorgeous Tremezzo!

Not a bad place for a cappuccino and a morning letter!

I haven’t done much shopping here (yet), but as they say, a VAT return is a terrible thing to waste! I’m not the world’s biggest luxury shopper by any means, but I do love to treat myself to something special every now and then, and tax free/with the refund is the best way to do it. More on what I’m considering below!

Speaking of saving, back at home Shopbop is running a very good sale on lots of fall staples. These tall boots by Ref have been heavy in my rotation for the past few years (the heel height is easily walkable, and they go with everything), this cross between a jean/ chore jacket is an easy go-to for crisp afternoons/evenings, and my favorite pointelle top made the cut too! Their sales can be hit or miss, but this one is worth checking out (things are going quickly though!).

Shit I loved in September: I’ve said it before, but this under $100 knit has already skyrocketed to the top of my power rankings (I liked it so much that I ordered the men’s striped version—sizing is generous, but totally depends on how you want it to fit). This* is still my desert island beauty product, and I wore this on my lips every time I left my house after 6pm. This bralette* is officially redeye-approved (though this was my first time flying Emirates and I swear to God those planes are BUILT DIFFERENT—not sure that it counts as a regular red-eye experience). I was very lax on refilling a skin prescription, but Sofie Pavitt’s mandelic serum* kept any breakouts at bay—a godsend and our VG code brings it to $45. I loved pretty much everything I tried at The Snail’s collab dinner at The Noortwyck—need to make it to Greenpoint for the real thing! And I made a bunch of big batch chicken recipes to split with my sister (who spent the month living with me!)—we affectionately referred to them as “slop,” but I swear they’re delicious! These two were our favorites. *PRIYANKA15 gets you a discount at Violet Grey and EBY!

Alternative subject line: Does your dog need a Christmas sweater???!!! I sent this to at least three friends whose pups definitely do!

I kept my shopping fairly minimal last month, instead opting for a milestone jewelry piece that I’m VERY excited about (and this amazing men’s jacquard jacket that’s gotten a lot of play in Italy—h/t

Gabriella Gofis
and Todd Snyder on that one!). More on that, plus fall denim, Euro splurges I’m eyeing, and the return of our favorite POLLS—this time on the increasing # of Hermes “inspired” bags out there, as well as the perfectly-sized tote at the top of my wishlist (just need your help deciding on one crucial element!).
